Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future of data analytics at Precise Analytics. The Principal Data Scientist will lead advanced analytics initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge techniques and technologies to solve complex business problems and drive innovation. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Utilize machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques to extract insights from large and complex datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Design and conduct experiments, analyze results, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the data science team, providing technical expertise and leadership to foster their professional growth.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into our solutions.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, provide strategic guidance, and deliver customized analytics solutions that drive value.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a data science role, with a track record of leading complex analytics projects from conception to delivery.
- Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience using tools such as Python, R, or TensorFlow.
- Strong programming skills and proficiency in SQL, with experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically to solve complex business problems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a global and multicultural environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with the analytics landscape in both the United States and Africa would be advantageous.
