Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Quality Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. The Data Quality Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our data assets, conducting quality assurance checks, and implementing data quality best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our data-driven initiatives from anywhere in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance checks on data assets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Identify data discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain documentation outlining data quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Monitor data integrity across multiple systems and platforms, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
- Define and implement data quality metrics and KPIs to measure and improve data quality over time.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and recommend preventive measures to mitigate future data quality issues.
- Provide training and support to team members on data quality best practices and procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data quality management and recommend opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a data analysis or quality assurance role, preferably in a data-centric environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify data discrepancies and anomalies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
- Experience working in a global and multicultural environment is a plus.
