Position Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Data Officer (CDO) to lead our data strategy and drive the organization’s data initiatives to new heights. The CDO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data management, governance, and analytics, ensuring that our data assets are leveraged effectively to support business objectives and drive growth. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.

- Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data from various sources to derive actionable insights and drive business value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Cultivate a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting data literacy, awareness, and best practices.
- Foster strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry partners, to enhance data capabilities and drive collaboration.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the data team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing data management, analytics, and strategy.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles, practices, and regulations, with a track record of implementing effective data governance frameworks.
- Strong technical proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and modeling, with experience working with advanced analytics tools and platforms.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and initiatives.
- Experience working in a global and multicultural environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with the analytics landscape in both the United States and Africa would be advantageous.
